Victim Advocacy is located on the third floor of the Student Success Center, in Suite 3200. To reach an advocate: visit our office, call (540) 568-6251, or email victimadvocacy@jmu.edu.

Formerly a part of UHC's The Well, effective June 1, 2021, Victim Advocacy became a separate and distinct service associated with the Counseling Center. While Victim Advocacy is a part of the Counseling Center operationally, advocacy is a distinct service from counseling.

All of our advocates complete 40 hours of training and are credentialed or pursuing credentialing through the National Organization for Victim Assistance. They also participate in ongoing peer consultation and supervision with other confidential resources.
