Iowa Cubs Stadium Operations Internship (Des Moines, Iowa)

Assist with all aspects of facility operations and management with Iowa Cubs baseball games and outside events such as high school games and community events at Principal Park. Participate in game-day activities, specifically on-field promotions and the set-up of client-sponsored promotions. Girls Golf of Harrisonburg - Internship (Harrisonburg, VA)

Girls Golf of Harrisonburg has been going strong for 11 years through the leadership of Wendy Kern, LPGA Professional and co-owner of Mulligans Golf Center and the team from the Morrison Bruce Center at JMU.  This relationship with the Morrison Bruce Center has been VERY beneficial to Girls Golf because of the emphasis on growing young girls through awareness of health and wellness.  Our program is looking to continue this dynamic of young adults from JMU assisting us to keep that element of health and wellness important to our culture.  The participant from JMU would be responsible for helping plan the curriculum for sessions, participating in regularly scheduled programs and developing ways to grow our program throughout the surrounding communities.  This position requires a person with high energy and a willingness to work with Wendy's team as well as the young girls in our program.

The Kingsmill Championship is a nationally televised LPGA golf tournament played on the famed River Course at Kingsmill Resort each May and they are looking to hire multiple, full-time interns to work with our tournament team, for five months from mid-January to mid-June 2018.  We strive to give our interns a valuable, hands-on experience with a major sporting event and consider them to be a valued part of our team.  Each intern will have their own responsibilities, as well as shared responsibilities. JMU Volleyball Student Team Manager

PART-TIME POSITION - PAID INTERNSHIP

The Student Team Manager will have a variety of roles serving the JMU Volleyball team during matches, practices, as well as some administrative work. The primary responsibilities include working with computer software, Datavolley, to break down opponent and our matches. Previous experience with Datavolley is not required and can be learned. We will also require the attendance of the Team Manager at our Preseason practices beginning roughly 3 weeks prior to the beginning of classes (some meals will be provided.)

Atlanta Braves Trainee Program (post-graduate opportunity)

The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is designed for applicants who are interested in beginning a career in professional sports. Each year, the program hires individuals from around the nation with diverse backgrounds who are ambitious, intelligent and creative candidates to work in a department from January to November. This opportunity provides valuable experience in the day-to-day operations of a professional sports franchise, and it not only gives the opportunity to work in a Front Office environment, but also to build a network with those in the sports industry who can provide guidance, advice, and possible connections for job opportunities upon completion of the program. 

The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is open to any qualified applicant who has a college degree with a Bachelors or Masters. Trainees are expected to work at least 37.5 hours per week and may have additional game day responsibilities (depending on department assignments). The individuals who participate in this program are paid $9.50/hour, plus overtime if applicable, as well as are benefit-eligible after 60 days (medical, dental, vision).
