Greater Madison invites you to join us for the coming year as we support James Madison University in its mission as an institution of higher education and a regional state university.

 

GREATER MADISON membership includes citizens in the community, friends, alumni, members of the JMU faculty, and administrative and classified staff who desire to join together in support of strong JMU/community relations.

 

Membership in Greater Madison establishes an avenue of communication and fosters cooperation and understanding between the university and the community.

 

Greater Madison was incorporated in 1971 at Madison College for the purpose of promoting the school's welfare and activities and for the promotion of community interest in the college. Through the years as Madison College grew into James Madison University, Greater Madison has also expanded and evolved to keep pace with the changing needs of

the university.

 

JMU students will also benefit from your Greater Madison membership. With this year's individual and corporate campaign, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the Greater Madison Scholarship Fund, which will allow us to award two scholarships to local students attending JMU in the school year 2005-2006.

 

Annual membership dues, which include your meals, are $60 per person or $100 per couple. Dues include the Fall Banquet and Sports Hall of Fame Banquet.

 

No other solicitations will be made during the year.

 

Memberships are nontransferable.

Deadline for membership is Sept. 15, 2005.
