MyMadison Slide Show

e-IDs are:

  • created when an application has been submitted and processed by JMU

  • generated from the name submitted on the application to JMU

  • emailed to the Applicant welcoming them to JMU with instructions to activate their e-ID

  • used to access MyMadison and necessary to view application status

Applicant Self-Service:

Use the Applicant Self-Service ( resource page to find your e-ID, pin number, or to get a new activation link to activate your e-ID

NOTE: The Self-Service page only works if you are still an applicant and have never activated your e-ID or set-up a MyMadison account. If you have activated a MyMadison account you will need to contact the JMU IT helpdesk ( for help accessing your account.
