Transcripts of all previous academic work at the undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) level. 
Applicants must upload unofficial copies of their transcripts and if admitted, all transcripts will be verified by the Graduate School. Applicants who previously attended James Madison University still need to upload an unofficial transcript, but do not need to provide official transcripts for verification.

  • Personal statement including statement of research interests, goals for graduate study and beyond and how the Psychological Sciences program will help you achieve these goals
  • Three letters of recommendation (may submit four from faculty members familiar with your previous academic performance and potential for graduate work)

After our initial review of all applications, applicants who are considered for admission will be invited to visit campus sometime late in February. Please check our program website at http://www.psyc.jmu.edu/psycsciences/
admission.html for a current list of dates and make sure to keep the listed date(s) available.

All of the above listed requirements can/should be uploaded within the online application, and test scores should be sent electronically to the Graduate School from the Educational Testing Service.
