Application Deadline

The Adult Education and Human Resource Development program accepts applications on a rolling basis. Completed applications should be received at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the semester in which the applicant intends to enroll.

International applicants will upload a credential evaluation of their non-U.S. college or university transcripts from one of the services listed at this link: Credential_Evaluation

Test Requirements

GRE General Test is required for applicants with less than 5 years of full-time work experience in the field of Training and Development

  • Transcripts (see below)
Required by Program
  • A current resume
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Two-to-three page essay explaining why you are pursuing a Masters in AHRD
  • Video - Upload a video answering the following question - Why would you like to be in the program? Please explain how it will help you achieve your career goals.(Maximum time limit is 5 minutes.)

Transcripts of all previous academic work at the undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) level. 

Applicants must upload unofficial copies of their transcripts and if admitted, all transcripts will be verified by the Graduate School. Applicants who previously attended James Madison University still need to upload an unofficial transcript, but do not need to provide official transcripts for verification.
