Graduate Student Association

About the GSA:

The JMU Graduate Student Association became an official organization recognized by the University in the spring of 2010. The JMU GSA was created to be an organization that could serve the social, professional, and other non-academic needs of graduate students. It's mission is "to promote interdisciplinary unity between James Madison University Graduate students." As a graduate student, you are automatically considered a member of this organization while your participation is optional and you are charged no membership fee.

Graduate Student Association aims to:
• Participate in events that support JMU’s vision of “All Together One”
• Reach out and give back to the Harrisonburg-Rockingham community through volunteer service
• Act as a liaison for interaction and social activity between graduate students
• Gain professional knowledge and networking through workshops and career development events
