The M.Ed. program is not currently accepting new students.
 
Test Requirements:
 
The test requirement for the MAT for current JMU undergraduate students who are completing the Middle Education Pre-professional undergraduate program, is passing Praxis II scores in two content areas submitted to the Education Support Center office prior to beginning more than 12 hours of MAT graduate course work.  Passing Praxis II scores for at least one content area must be submitted prior to beginning more than 6 hours of MAT graduate course work. The test requirement for the MAT for post-baccalaureate students, is the GRE. Passing Praxis II scores in two content areas must be submitted to the Education Support Center office prior to enrolling in MAT graduate course work.
 
Special Application and Program Information:
 
Current JMU undergraduate applicants, as well as Postbaccalaureate applicants, must have a minimum cumulative undergrdauate GPA of 2.7 or above.
