Born and raised in Vietnam, grew up in New York, Tam Nguyen graduated from James Madison University in 2016 with focuses on Finance and Business Spanish. During his studies in the College of Business he served as the President of the JMU International Student Association for 2 full years, 3 years as a LINKer, and 2 years as the Student Assistant for the Center for Multicultural Student Services.

Then after one year of working in the Banking Industry, he came back to JMU to pursue higher education in accounting – at the same time he dedicates his other strengths to the Center for Global Engagement as the Program Assistant. He enjoys enhancing his well-roundedness, thus Tam never lets his area of academic study define who he is. Being the Program Assistant of CGE allows him to put his other skills to great use: graphic designs, event planning, and leadership.

One of his dreams is to be the next Bruno Mars – a fun fact that almost all of his families, friends, and colleagues [should] know!
