HM 498 - Study of French Food and Wine

Program Description

Treat your palate to the vibrant tradition of French food, from rustic fare to haute cuisine. Sample regional dishes in the French Riviera and Provence, and attend a chef’s demonstration in Lyon for some authentic inspiration for your own creations.

Get a taste of Paris with visits to its most iconic structures before expanding your palette at a colorful city market followed by a cooking lesson.

Accommodations

8 overnight stays in hotels with private bathrooms.

Daily breakfasts and select local dinners are included in your program. Generally, lunch is up to you so you have an opportunity to explore your own flavors of the country.

Additional Items to Consider

Full-time tour director, expert travel guides, guided sightseeing, champagne cellar tour, cooking lessons

French is a plus but not required

Recommended for Hospitality Management majors, Foreign Language majors, all students interested in studying more about France, food, and wine

Applicant Criteria

Applicants must have a GPA minimum of 2.0
