After working three years with the Ohio Valley Conference, Kyle came back to JMU in 2007 to work in Athletics as the Director of Corporate Sales. He transitioned into the role of Director of Business Relations, and then held many position in the Duke Club.  Kyle joined the Strategic Gifts team in 2016, was promoted to Associate Director in 2018, and then to Senior Associate Director in 2023.  Apart from work, Kyle serves on two non-profit boards in Harrisonburg -- Generations Crossing and Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley -- and was recently selected for “10 Under 40” in 2019, highlighting those in the community who are rising leaders in the Shenandoah Valley.

Kyle is married to the former Heather Raynes (’01), who is also a Harrisonburg native and a JMU graduate. The couple resides in Harrisonburg with their two children, Leah and Graham. When not working, Kyle can be found cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and seeking out the best BBQ in Harrisonburg. His greatest JMU sports memory was serving as the ball boy stationed under the basket when Kent Culuko hit the clutch basket to send the Dukes to the 1994 NCAA Tournament.
