Give Now to the Political Science Professors Fund

Give now to the Political Science Professors Fund

Honor your retired professor by supporting today's faculty

At JMU, professors don't exist simply to conduct research—they love to teach. They engage with students and mentor their scholarly achievement and personal growth.

You can testify to that from your own Madison Experience. But that's not the case at a lot of institutions of the size and scope of JMU. In fact, at many others, graduate students teach the classes.

Your gift will ensure that JMU continues to recruit and retain the kind of professors who made a difference in your life—and the dozens of political science professors who have made a similar impact on thousands of your fellow Madison alumni.

Your favorite political science professor might be retired now, but your gift to the Political Science Endowment Honoring Retired Professors will continue their legacy by supporting the work of today's faculty who carry on their work. You will enable today’s students to experience the benefit of their scholarly expertise, excellence in teaching and research, and their personal guidance and dedication—just as you experienced as a Madison student.

Your gift means that as faculty members undertake research that advances knowledge in their disciplines, they also involve JMU students in hands-on learning experiences that address issues that benefit society. Students will graduate ready to roll up their sleeves and jump into productive careers that make a difference.

By helping this fund reach its endowment, you are providing the resources to support projects that enhance the teaching and research of departmental faculty working with undergraduate and graduate students in political science, public administration and international affairs. In addition, this endowment will finance activities central to the development of new courses, innovative teaching strategies in existing courses, and research on local, state, national and international issues.

Growing this endowment will elevate the JMU political science program as a whole and help JMU address issues that will improve society, explains department head Chris Blake. Your gift makes it possible.
