Research Interests
I am interested in coastal environments - mainly barrier islands and tidal inlets. My prior research has focused on sediment transport in tidal inlets and navigation channels. I am presently expanding this research to look at larger scale morphologic changes along our coastline. The Delmarva Peninsula is an exceptional area for investigating the dynamics of barrier island systems. I’d like to combine field studies and numerical modeling to examine the coastal processes along the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
