Research Interests

Since 1995 my research has explored the boundaries between petrology, material science and computational science. My specific interests have focused on modeling microstructure development and crystal size distribution in igneous rocks. My research has been funded by the Petroleum Research Fund PRF-39580-B2. Support was also received by the Division of Materials Research of the National Science Foundation DMR-0097449 and DMR-035377. All of my research is with undergraduate students who are listed as the co-authors in the presentations and publications.
