April 2013: C. Scott Southworth ('79) Receives 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award
The Department held a reception and presented the Distinguished Alumni Award to C. Scott Southworth.
April 2013: Dr. Kristen St. John Receives 2013 General Education Distinguished Teacher Award
The Department is very proud to announce that Dr. Kristen St. John has received the General Education Distinguished Teacher Award. Dr. St. John was recognized for her teaching in GGEOL 115: Earth Systems and Climate Change.
March 2013: 2013 Honors Night
The Department celebrated the accomplishments of students with a reception and awards ceremony.
November 2012: Mineral Trip to the Franklin and Sterling Hill Mines
Professor Lance Kearns knows the best geologists are the ones who get to see the most rocks. That's why he and his wife, geology lecturer Cindy Kearns, annually take students to see rocks and minerals they can't see in the Shenandoah Valley.
