Jeffrey Andre, Ph.D is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department. Since arriving at JMU in 2000, Jeff has taught both departmental and General Education courses. In the Psychology Department, he teaches mostly Psychological Statistics, Psychological Research Methods, and Sensation & Perception. In addition, he also teaches and works with the Freshman Psychology Learning Community with colleague Kenneth Barron. In General Education, Jeff teaches the Cluster 3 course The Science of Vision & Audition; he usually teaches the course with colleague Michael Hall, with whom he created a team-taught version of the course. In addition to his teaching, Jeff collaborates with student researchers in his visual perception and performance laboratory, is JMU’s Pre-Optometry Program Advisor, has been a freshman advisor since 2002, and has served as the chair of the General Education Council.
