Students are invited to serve as volunteers at the Gandhi Center, preparatory to being recognized as interns.  Students must volunteer at least one semester prior to applying for intern status.   Interns may seek course credit for the internship experience, subject to the approval of the Center Director.  Benefits of internship include:

  • Opportunity to design and/or implement a service project that engages the community with Gandhi Center principles.
  • Opportunity to design and/or implement a research project that engages the community with Gandhi Center principles.
  • Opportunity to meet and socialize with like-minded students and faculty in a welcoming environment.  The Gandhi Center is a good place to study or relax!
  • Invitation to attend or initiate Gandhi Center events that extend your experience and engagement with Center principles.  The Gandhi Center has hosted two famous Nobel Laureates, Rev. Desmond Tutu, and former President Jimmy Carter and Rosalyn Carter, and regularly brings in speakers who are noted for their expertise in peace building and nonviolence.
