2008 ACUI National Poetry Slam

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

BRITTANY BROOKS, Class of 2009
will represent J.M.U. by participating in the
2008 National Poetry Slam that will take place at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM on April 2 – 5, 2008.

On December 6, 2007, Furious Flower, along with Taylor Down Under, sponsored a Qualifying Poetry Slam to select a competition team for the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Region V Recreation Tournament. In representing JMU, we were proud to send Brittany Brooks, Kunal Jhanjee and Alex Sharp to compete in the Regional Poetry Slam that took place February 23, 2008 at Virginia Tech. We would like to thank all of the participants for making this event possible, and congratulate Brittany Brooks for advancing to the 2008 National Poetry Slam.
