During this two-day summit for college students, they practiced elements of craft and demonstrated how poetry can be used in community service and outreach. They learned from renowned poets, including members of the Affrilachian Poets Writers' Collective.
The registration fee was $50 for non-JMU students and included meals and workshop materials.
