Endowment by Designation

The foundation topped last year’s increase of $7.4 million in endowments, increasing to $11.4 million this year. The total support James Madison University received from the foundation was over $3 million in scholarships, $1.4 million in faculty salary supplements and over $1.2 million in academic support. Thanks to prudent investment policies and the generosity of donors, the foundation continues to support the university in many different areas. Academic Support

In addition to providing scholarship and academic support, the foundation invested in the university’s infrastructure by purchasing the Public Broadcasting building, providing classroom and academic support services.
