From Washington
to Harrisonburg:
Getting to JMU via Southbound Interstate 81.
To Taylor Hall
for Conference Sessions
- Heading south on I-81, take exit 245. (Right before
exit 245, I-81 bisects the campus. The new ISAT buildings and the Tudor/Wrightesque URec center
will be on your left, and some dorms of JMU will be visible on your
right.)
- Take a right at the top of the ramp and stay in
the right lane.
- At the first traffic light, take a right onto Bluestone Dr.
At this intersection is a sign for JMU and the WVPT TV station.
- Go straight on Bluestone Dr., past the lake,
past some buildings and past a field, then follow it as it curves
around. At the second traffic light turn left into the bookstore parking
lot. There are usually places to park there.
To
get to Taylor Hall from the parking lot:
Continue
up the hill along Bluestone
Drive. You will pass the Mr. Chips convenience
store on the right, and directly in front of you is the Warren campus center. Go up the
external stairs to the second-floor patio, then
follow it around the building to the right. You will see a movie theatre and
another building sharing the patio area. The second building it Taylor Hall.

To the Festival Center
for Thursday Evening's Dinner and
Keynote Speaker
- Heading south on I-81, take exit 245. (Right

- Take a right at the top of the ramp and stay in
the right lane.

- Go straight on Bluestone Dr., past the lake,
past some buildings and you will see a field on your left. There is a
stoplight directly after the field.
- Turn right at the stoplight onto Carrier Drive.
- Follow Carrier Drive as it goes over the
Interstate, veers left, goes straight, then
veers right. After veering right, you will see a round building on your
right. This is the Festival
Center. Parking is
to your left, across the street from the Center.

the end of the road, just behind the Plecker Center
is a parking garage.
- Parking Services is located on the first level;
the entrance faces the road.
