The Forbes Center is the premier destination for the performing arts in the Shenandoah Valley, and James Madison University looks forward to sharing a behind-the-scenes view of this magnificent facility with members of the community.

Public Tours

The Forbes Center hosts free public tours of the facility on select Saturdays during the school year. Tours last one hour and start at 10 am. They are given by students from the School of Theatre and Dance, and volunteers. Tours are not scheduled in the summer. 

Private Tours for Groups of 20 or More

If you have a large group that is interested in a private tour of the facility, please contact the director of the Forbes Center at (540) 568-4393. Private tours for groups smaller than 20 are not able to be scheduled. We encourage you to sign up for a public tour.

All patrons attending tours will be invited to join our e-mail list to receive special offers and information about upcoming Forbes Center performances.
