Brennecke says she knew from “a very young age” that she wanted to become an actor. “I would look up to professional actors and admire their ability of becoming a character and taking you on the journey of a story.”
Brennecke began her journey at JMU two years ago, and is already making a name for herself. She has participated in multiple productions at the Forbes Center, including Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Carlotta), Anna in the Tropics (Conchita) and Romeo and Juliet (Lady Montague). Brennecke will play Gabriella in Boeing Boeing in the fall.
“With these productions, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and dedicated people I’ve ever met,” exclaims Brennecke. “I am so grateful to the JMU community—and to scholarship donors—for allowing me to follow my dreams.”
