JMU’s premier dance ensemble will perform contemporary choreography by nationally and internationally known guest artists, including Washington, D.C.-based Christopher K. Morgan, whose work has been hailed as “charming and poignant” by The New York Times, Ting-Yu Chen from Virginia, and John Dixon from North Carolina. The company will also present pieces by artistic director Shane O’Hara, dance faculty members Ryan Corriston and Joyce Yagerline, and Michigan-based PJ Maske, a JMU alum and artistic director of Urban Garden Performing Arts.


HIGHLIGHTS


  • The female a cappella quintet Nobuntu will perform traditional Zimbabwean songs, Afro-jazz, and gospel music!
