Take a walk down memory lane with hits from the big band swing era. This annual concert features JMU’s Jazz Ensemble directed by Dr. Chuck Dotas, as well as award-winning faculty members and special guest conductor Harrisonburg mayor Deanna R. Reed. Musicians of all levels are encouraged to bring their instruments and join in a post-concert jam session in the Grand Lobby. This concert is in cooperation with the Jazz4Justice Foundation and the Virginia Law Foundation, and benefits Blue Ridge Legal Services and JMU’s School of Music scholarships.
