La Bohème

By Giacomo Puccini

Featuring the JMU Opera Theater

Friday - Saturday, November 7 - 8 @ 8 pm

Sunday, November 9 @ 2 pm

La Bohème is easy to love—and impossible to forget. Puccini’s ravishing heartbreaker opens on a snowy Parisian evening. A garret of poverty-stricken artists set out to blow their rent money on one unforgettable night in the Latin Quarter. A chance encounter between the poet, Rodolfo, and Mimi, the seamstress who harbors a terrible secret, sparks a timeless and passionate tale about young lovers hurled together by fortune and driven apart by jealousy. With sweeping orchestral and choral music, La Bohème and its romantic characters touch our hearts with pathos and surging passions.
