Richard Robinson is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker based near Charlottesville, Virginia. His exhibition is an ongoing re-photographic project documenting Arthur Rothstein’s first assignment at Shenandoah National Park. In 1935, Rothstein was assigned to photograph Virginia residents before they were moved from their homes by government officials to make way for the Park. Robinson’s photography has been published and exhibited widely in publications including Time, Smithsonian, National Geographic Traveler and The Washington Post Magazine.
