Enjoy one of the most well-loved, sacred, choral/orchestral masterworks!
With its mesmerizing rhythms and intricate melodies, Carmina Burana is a favorite with classical audiences everywhere. The piece is a set of 24 poems drawn from a manuscript discovered in Bavaria in 1803. Set to music by Carl Orff in 1936, the work was an instant success and a source of pride for Orff, who declared, "My collected works begin with Carmina Burana," dismissing the majority of his earlier compositions. Come enjoy one of the most well-loved, sacred, choral/orchestral masterworks!
