"Ryu Goto is a sterling violinist with impeccable technical credentials and a personal musical flair."
Lorin Maazel

For 41 years, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra has garnered international acclaim for its fine artistry while reinventing the way the world thinks about collaboration, outreach, and democratic leadership. Orpheus has recorded more than 70 albums (including the Grammy Award-winning Shadow Dances: Stravinsky Miniatures), worked with the leading soloists of our time, and commissioned and premiered 35 works. By performing without a conductor and integrating musicians into virtually every facet of the organization, Orpheus empowers its members and infuses performances with unparalleled energy. This concert features violinist Ryu Goto and the celebrated strings of Orpheus performing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, deemed one of the greatest, boldest, Baroque era masterworks of all time. Rounding out the program is the ever-popular Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by J.S. Bach and Serenade for Strings, Tchaikovsky’s adoring tribute to the classical spirit and an Orpheus signature piece.
