Andrew Pelletier is a horn soloist and Grammy Award-winning chamber musician who regularly performs across the United States. The Los Angeles Times touts Pelletier’s “gleaming, handsome playing. Pelletier is a soloist who seems capable of anything on his instrument.” Fanfare Magazine called Pelletier, “Phenomenal … undeniably in tune with what he plays,” while the American Record Guide has praised his “full sound and playing with authority and imagination.”

Pelletier is the First Prize winner of the 2001 and 1997 American Horn Competition (America’s only internationally recognized competition for the horn) and has appeared as a soloist at the International Horn Society Annual Symposia in 2013, 2009, 2005, 2003 and 1997. He is in regular demand for artistic residencies and clinics at universities and music schools, and his solo tours have taken him to 25 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico and England. Dedicated to new music and the collaboration between performer and composer, Pelletier has commissioned and premiered more than 20 new works for the horn as a solo voice by such noted composers as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Roger Reynolds, Christopher Dietz, Carson Cooman, Randall Faust, Joseph Landes and Anne McGinty.
