Earth System Science at the Sphere Theater

PUBLIC PRESENATATIONS SHOWCASING JMU'S SCIENCE ON A SPHERE 

WHAT:  Join us at the Sphere Theater, where the Science On a Sphere® system uses computers and video projectors to display data onto a nearly six foot diameter sphere.  Our Earth system science program, hosted by a JMU staff member, will explore the connection between the Earth's polar regions and climate using the sphere as a very large, animated globe.  

WHEN: Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 | 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM (JMU Family Weekend) and Saturday, October 21st, 2017 | 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 11:00 AM

Programs are every half hour - 10:00, 10:30 and 11:00 AM. Entry during a program is not permitted. The program will take place in Memorial Hall at the Sphere Theater, room 5110B (395 South High Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).  Guests are encouraged to enter the building from the entrance on Grace Street (entrance E).  Signs inside the building will direct you to the theater which is across from the Butterfly Café.

Parking Information: Parking is available in lots X, Y and R9. Note that specially marked spaces are enforced 7 days a week. Guests are subject to parking citations if parked in Service Vehicle spaces, handicap spaces without proper permit, fire lanes or other prohibited areas.
