A summit to build networks of care for children in Harrisonburg
Mon, 31 Mar 2014 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Memorial Hall/Old Harrisonburg High School
Creating an action plan to support children and families in our area is important. Join us as we hear four short informational speeches about the state of children's welfare in Harrisonburg. Attendees will be invited to participate in conversations, to network with others, and hopefully make plans to take actions beyond this meeting that support the needs of local children.
Open to all This is open to all individuals, community groups, and student organizations from across the city that are interested in and committed to the welfare of all children.
Invite others! This summit is open to all who have a stake in our community's most vulnerable population.
Parking Please park in lots C7 and C8 (next to the baseball fields) and enter through entrance B on that side of the building.
Childcare Free childcare will be provided for attendees from 6:45pm to 9:15pm.
Refreshments will be served.
This event is organized by the College of Education at James Madison University and is part of a larger programming schedule for A Book for the 'Burg, a new community reading experience. The event is free of charge, open to the public, and does not require participants to have read the book.
