Harrisonburg, VA— A screening of films produced by faculty in James Madison University’s School of Media Arts and Design will take place at the Court Square Theater in downtown Harrisonburg from 7p.m. to 9p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st. The films will include the following:

The Blue Zone

The Blue Zone--Written & Directed by Kevin J. Reynolds

The Blue Zone is a comedy about two seniors who meet in an assisted living center after a 50-year hiatus.  Harmon and Irene had an unrequited crush on each other in college and finally find the time to explore it…but not always smoothly.  The romantic foibles of youth live on, right through the golden years.

Eggs & Soldiers

Eggs and Soldiers--Written & Directed by Imelda O'Reilly

A single Irish Dad forgets to buy the tree on Christmas Eve. Ned the older son’s humanity is challenged when he risks everything to have his younger brother Marco experience a real Irish Christmas.

A Good Blinder

A Good Blinder--Produced by Shaun Wright and Mike Grundman

A Good Blinder is a documentary about 75-year-old Dan Bowman of Harrisonburg, who lost his sight at age 12, became a piano tuner and crafts fine furniture using power tools and precision instruments. His creations have each raised as much as $3,000 for the annual Mennonite Relief Sale. He still has all 10 fingers, a lively wit and a theologically trained mind that makes for profound reflection.
