Adult Swim Lessons
Tue, 1 Oct 2013 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Are you a JMU student, faculty or staff member looking to improve your swimming skills? The class series is designed for participants who are comfortable swimming in shallow water and have experience swimming in deep water. The course is designed to provide participants the ability to swim distances greater than 25 yards comfortably using more than one defined swimming stroke. Improving stroke technique to allow for continuous lap swimming is the primary goal. The general goals include increased proficiency in the basic strokes, development of more advanced strokes and turns, greater understanding of safety, and the ability to use water as a medium for recreation and fitness.
This is a three class series: October 1, 8 and 15, 2013.
Register for the series with $20 FLEX only at the UREC Welcome Center by the Friday prior to the start of the session.
For current JMU students, faculty, staff members, and affiliates only.
