This American Red Cross course provides training in recognizing an emergency situation. The participant will be able to: control severe bleeding, care for shock, soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries, sudden illness, and heat/cold related emergencies. This class is intended for those who seek a certification for the first time or for those who are renewing their certification. There will be videos, demonstrations, as well as hands on experience. You must be on time to participate in this class.
Register at UREC with $25 FLEX by the day of the program.
Download and print Training Packet A and Training Packet B before the course and bring it with you.
Please note these programs are for current JMU students, faculty, staff members, and affiliates only. Registered participants must arrive early for any of the Red Cross Courses that you register for (10 to 15 minutes is recommended). If you arrive later than the scheduled start time, you will not be permitted entry into the class and will not be eligible to receive a refund. Do you have a group that needs certification? Please contact Matt Lovesky (loveskms@jmu.edu or 540-568-8714) about setting up special certification sessions.
