SPIA SYMPOSIUM PANEL -- Freedom of Speech on the University Campus: Implications for Students and Faculty

In 2018, the annual symposium of JMU's School of Public & International Affairs examines political polarization & its impact on civil discourse.

In this kickoff event for this year's symposium, JMU's President Jonathan Alger is moderating a panel discussion examining freedom of speech on college campuses.

The panelists are:

  • Tammy Castle, Associate Professor of Justice Studies
  • Brad Jenkins, General Manager of The Breeze
  • Bob Roberts, Professor of Political Science
  • Roger Soenksen, Professor of Media Arts & Design

There will be time allotted for audience questions to follow the discussion.
