First Night Harrisonburg: Special Planetarium Shows!

The John C. Wells Planetarium at JMU is pleased to partner once again with First Night Harrisonburg VA to provide entertaining and engaging full dome science presentations that are a delight for the whole family. Join us for 1 of our 6 presentations, beginning at 5p, where we will explore our solar system, our Moon, and what makes Earth so special a place. Start off your First Night celebrations by visiting our state-of-the-art planetarium right here in Harrisonburg.

Admission to the special planetarium shows requires the purchase of a First Night button that will be on sale at the door. First Night buttons are available for $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the event. Children under the age of 5 are admitted free of charge. The button serves as your admission pass that grants you access to every performance and every venue throughout the night. That’s more than 25 performances in 14 venues.
