Public Star Party at JMU's Astronomy Park!

Thu, 24 Apr 2014 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM

The LAST THURSDAY of every month, the John C. Wells Planetarium and JMU's Department of Physics & Astronomy presents free, public star parties at Astronomy Park (located on JMU's campus east of I-81)!

Come look through our telescopes and see Mars, Jupiter and its 4 Galilean moons, our own Moon, binary stars, and oh so much more!

Telescope observing is weather-dependent so check with the Planetarium's website, Facebook and Twitter sites to see if observing will take place as scheduled. IF NOT, our back-up night will Saturday!

Please join us for a family-friendly, fun evening of star gazing!
