Got Bhangra Competition 2016

Sat, 5 Nov 2016 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Did you know that Bhangra's very first nationwide dance competition is being held at JMU? Bhangra is a dance that originated in India and is very colorful and energetic. The students in JMU Bhangra have worked so hard the last 9 months for this competition to be successful. We are hosting 9 teams and 150 dancers from all over the east coast. The event will take place on Saturday, November 5, at 6:30pm, in the Harrisonburg High School Auditorium (1001 Garbers Church Rd., Harrisonburg).

The purpose of this competition is to bring more diversity onto the JMU campus and spread awareness of what Bhangra is. We want as many JMU students to come out to this event and make it a success. We are selling tickets for $10 for JMU students cash or venmo @gotbhangracomp. See below for our lineup video link and the competition’s website below so you have an idea as to what Bhangra is!

Please contact Anudeep Kaur, Treasurer of Got Bhangra Competition, with any questions at kaurax@dukes.jmu.edu. We hope to see you there!
