Every June, JMU's Center for Faculty Innovation offers a week-long intensive program, jmUDESIGN, for faculty that helps them design or redesign elements of instruction.

Within the jmUDESIGN structure, faculty can choose to focus more specifically on a content area, such as ethical reasoning. Bill Hawk, chair of The Madison Collaborative: Ethical Reasoning in Action program, will be facilitating the ethical reasoning-focused learning community at jmUDESIGN.

Faculty interested in more deeply embedding ethical reasoning into their existing content or who wish to create new content for their discpline or General Education courses are invited to apply to jmUDESIGN. A week-long effort dedicated to backward design and course alignment has proven to be the most beneficial developmental opportunity for faculty incorporating ethical reasoning into their classes.

Apply now! Please indicate your interest in the ethical reasoning-focused group in the application. Contact or with questions.
