Location:
Off-campus location will be throughout the Harrisonburg community.
On-campus opportunities will meet in the upper and lower levels of the Festival Center, Warren Patio and Transitions Room.
Time:
Off-campus opportunities will be available from 9am-5pm.
On-campus opportunities will be available from 10am-3pm.
This event is for JMU students, faculty and staff.
Working
with the United Way, the Institute for Innovative Health and Human Services (IIHHS),
and the Community Service Learning office, students will be able to engage in
service opportunities on-campus, while faculty and staff are able to participate
in off-campus projects.
There are a number of opportunities available throughout the community. Several of the service opportunities will have transportation available from Godwin Hall.
To register for a service project:
- Log into MyMadison
- Click on the "Employee" tab
- Under Employee Training Tab, Click Request Training Enrollment
- Search by JMU Course Type
- Look for President Inauguration, Click Available Courses
- If you click the info icon, you will see the summaries.
- Click View Available Sessions
- Click Session Number to enroll

Roll up your sleeves and wear gloves for cleaning out the attic and basement of this shelter for victims of domestic violence. Volunteers will help First Step get organized. Dress for physical work.
