This workshop is designed for full-time employees only.
Description:
The nearly guaranteed response to the phrase, “I just got a job at JMU!” is “You have state benefits!” You have them, but do you really know what they are and if you’re taking full advantage of these envied benefits?
Full-time employees will gain in-depth knowledge and get their questions answered at these four sessions. Each participant attending will receive a personalized packet with their specific benefits.
Topics include:
- Health Insurance & Flexible Spending Accounts
- Life Insurance
- Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP)
- Leave
- Workers’ Compensation (WC)
- Americans with Disability Act (ADA)
- Retirement & Supplemental Retirement Accounts
- Voluntary Benefits, EAP, Abenity, and Tuition Waivers
In this workshop, participants will:
- Learn about the benefits available through the state/JMU
- Obtain subject matter expertise on employee’s benefits
- Have the availability to ask questions and express concerns related to their benefits
