September 21 - Honors Tailgate
Stop by and enjoy some free food and games before the JMU Dukes take on the Charlotte 49ers!

The tailgate is organized by a new Honors student organization called "Madison Honors." We'll have tailgate food and drinks (hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, sodas, etc.) and cornhole boards, canjam, and footballs going around. Feel free to bring a frisbee! Meet your fellow Honors students and talk to us if you're interested in joining the Honors student club!
September 25 - 499B Workshop
Workshop for students in the 499B section of the Senior Honors Project. Provides the opportunity for students to meet each other, talk about their progress, troubleshoot, and ask questions. Honors Program staff will answer questions and offer guidance and support.
Two workshops are available:
- Wednesday, September 25, 5-6pm
- Thursday, September 26, 5-6pm
Both sessions are in the Hillcrest Conference Room.

September 26 - Life After College
Life After College – JMU Honors Grads as Speakers
Come to the Hillcrest House this Thursday, September 26th at 3:30 PM for a special event hosted by Madison Honors regarding job searching and life after graduation.
Jeno Pizarro and Jessica Merz graduated as Honors students in 2012 and now work for IBM's Business Analytics and Optimization team in Washington, DC. Both Jess and Jeno spent many of their days at Showker (Jeno studied economics while Jess studied management) but work alongside colleagues who studied a variety of subjects from computer science and math to English literature and international affairs. Jess and Jeno will be available to chat about finding a job in the current market and life after JMU.
Jeno and Jessica will join us in the Hillcrest House via webcam projection to discuss topics and answer questions. We will see Jeno and Jessica projected on the TV, and they will be able to see us as well, to make for an interactive experience.
