November 3: A Conversation with Glennon Doyle Melton:

“Building Community Among Women”

3-5 p.m.
Highlands Room, Festival Conference and Student Center

Glennon Doyle Melton (’99) is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, “Carry On, Warrior.” She is the founder of Momastery.com, an online community where close to 100,000 readers meet daily to read Melton's shameless and hilarious essays about marriage, motherhood, faith, addiction, recovery and connection. She is also the creator and president of a nonprofit organization that has connected countless families in need with hundreds of thousands of dollars in critical resources. Melton has been featured on “The TODAY Show,” NPR, “The Talk,” Ladies’ Home Journal, Woman’s Day, Glamour, Family Circle and Parents magazine, among other television and print outlets. An inspirational, side-splittingly funny exploration of the power of living with love, forgiveness and honesty, Melton is a friend who emboldens us to believe in ourselves and reminds us that the journey is the reward. By shedding our weapons and armor, we can stop hiding, competing, striving for the mirage of perfection, and build better lives in our hearts, homes and communities.

The event is free and open to the public, but please register at https://secure.www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/JMD/event/showEventForm.jsp?form_id=161637.

“Carry On, Warrior” will be on sale at the event.
