Speaker: Janine Latus

Mon, 30 Sep 2013 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Janine LatusSept. 30 | 7:00 p.m. | Grafton-Stovall Theatre

After the murder of her sister Amy, author and activist Janine Latus was compelled to speak out on behalf of abused people everywhere. A gifted speaker, Janine uses both her sister's story and her own experience with intimate partner violence to weave a powerful story of tragedy, strength, and ultimately survival.

Janine is a dynamic and engaging speaker, coach, and panel moderator on domestic violence, narrative and service journalism and on the business of writing. Her talks and workshops have been sponsored by universities, social service agencies and family violence shelters around the country, for which she's helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars.
