Teaching Adult Learners
Fri, 4 Apr 2014 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Friday, April 4: Teaching Adult Learners
This discussion will provide participants with the opportunity to share strategies and exchange best practices in teaching adult learners. At JMU, adult learners – those 25 years of age or above – encompass graduate learners; continuing, non-degree seeking students; and individuals enrolled in the adult degree completion program, among others. Roundtable participants will consider ways to situate and engage adult students in homogeneous and heterogeneous (i.e. multigenerational) learning environments. Faculty will be invited to discuss the array of pedagogical opportunities teaching adults invites as well as brings to our own learning.
Light snacks will be served.
