"A look at technologies impacting the mobile industry and how they are being used on real projects.”

Mobile apps have always been about User Experience (UX) but traditionally they focused solely on the User Interface. However, UX is really about the entire customer journey and every moment should be considered throughout the stack. From the User Interface to how data is processed to leveraging Natural Language Processing to have the solution provide a more personal experience, all these considerations have a major effect to engagement.  To do this, a number of technologies are making a big impact on the industry. These include AR and VR, Offline-first apps, Single-source code frameworks, Machine Learning, and Progressive apps; to name a few.  In this talk we will consider how these technologies are impacting the industry.

Mr. Michael Prichard holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida) is the founder and CTO of WillowTree, Inc. located at Charlottesville, Virginia. Prior to founding WillowTree, Inc. Mr. Prichard built and grew an e-mail archiving software business that he later sold. Mr. Prichard has been a consultant for many large companies including IBM, State Street, and Adobe, Inc. Mr. Prichard has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly at Rotech HealthCare, Inc where he led the development of several applications such as online pharmacy reordering system, and inventory tracking system, and the elntake and eProcurement applications.
