Engineering, Science, and Technology Workshop

Fri, 28 Feb 2014 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Join us for The Engineering, Science, and Technology Workshop at JMU's Festival Conference Center on Friday, February 28th.  The partnerships and collaborations on this event are fabulous – and it is looking to be an engaging and dynamic day!

Hosted by James Madison University and sponsored by JMU Outreach & Engagement, the American Council of Engineering Companies of Virginia, the NASA Langley Research Center, the Virginia Community College System, the Virginia School Counselors Association, and the Virginia STEAM Academy.

The program will include smaller breakout sessions presented by practicing engineers, education and curriculum specialists from NASA and the Math Science Innovation Center, college faculty and students, admissions representatives, and an Exhibit/Demo Fair that will also include information and contacts for free resources, enrichment activities, and youth programs.

In addition to sessions designed for counselors and advisors, we are also planning a programming track for STEM teachers that will connect them with hands-on activities, ideas, and classroom-ready resources.

Download the program flyer for additional information to give you a better idea of the plan for the day.

The workshop is free and breakfast and lunch will be provided, but registration is required.
