WorldCom Whistleblower Cynthia Cooper speaks at JMU's Grafton Stovall

Wed, 13 Nov 2013 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Cynthia Cooper headed Internal Audit at WorldCom and courageously led a small team that covertly investigated and then exposed the multi-billion dollar fraud that occurred, ultimately resulting in the largest fraud and bankruptcy in U.S. history at that point.  An accountant, Cynthia was named (along with two other whistleblower's) a Time Magazine Person of the Year in 2002.  She later wrote the book, Extraordinary Circumstances, documenting her experience.  Cynthia is a popular speaker in corporate settings and in universities.  Read more about her and her book at http://www.coopergroupllc.com/index.php.
