Cob Honors Event

You are invited to the JMU COB honors event this Tuesday October 1st between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Showker 107. The main purpose of this event is to raise the profile of students and faculty who have been actively participating in the honors program during the last few years. Furthermore, if you have been approached about advising or reading for a thesis this event will provide information regarding the general process and a number of recent changes to the thesis process. The honors program is now making accommodations for honors theses which include collaborative projects, journal-style submissions, and a wider range of allowable topics.
The first portion of the event will be held in the classroom for a brief presentation and discussion regarding recent honors program updates. After about half an hour we will move to the Showker lobby for appetizers and the networking portion of the event. The second portion of the event involves networking between faculty, current, and former honors students.
